The railway company DORBRAS was looking for a solution for the oxidation on the metal plates that are used for the fixation of rails onto the crossbeams. In April 1999 approx. 45,000 Zinganised fixation plates were installed. A layer of 80 µm ZINGA was applied with a spraying gun. These plates are constantly in contact with the concrete block at the end of each crossbeam and are slightly
shaken each time a train passes on the tracks.
