In 2008, the British Airport Authorities decided to protect its crash barriers that are located on strategic places around airports with a ZINGA based system. This decision was made after consulting the UK Ministry of Defense. The actual crash barriers were produced by TATA (UK) and the blast contractor was EMTRADE Ltd. In total 350 crash barriers were treated, each requiring about 5 kg of ZINGA and 4 L of ZINGALUFER.
